36 weeks {!!!!}

seriously. 36 weeks. that means we have less than 4 weeks left before we meet our babe. not even 4 weeks!! That means they wouldn't stop me if I was in labor. Next week we'll be considered full-term. Oh my... The to-do list is steadily getting checked off. It feels like we still have lots to do, but we'll get there. I have two pediatricians to look into, the nursery is getting there, clothes are all set and put away, and our hearts are growing and expanding and giddy.
Here's the update:

Cravings:Cereal. I could live on cereal, carrots, any fruit, and cheese & crackers. But mostly cereal (especially any chocolate kind).

Sleep:Um, does it count as sleeping when you get up 5-7 times in the night to go to the bathroom? It's amazing how little my bladder will hold! I picked up a cold a few weeks ago, and last week a doctor suggested taking Benadryl at night. I did, and it's been a God-send. I'm even able to fall asleep faster even after getting up.
How I'm feeling:OK. Getting uncomfortable. It's getting tight in there! Also, I was waking up with serious pain and stiffness in my hands - finally was diagnosed with carpal tunnel. Feels good to put a name to it, and the pain is almost always gone by the time I wake up. No more leg cramps (praise the Lord!), minimal heartburn, and just continuing to fight this cold.
Doctor appointments:Every week now. Wheeeee!! I've maintained my weight for a few weeks, and am still right on track with it. Go me! =) No dilation or effacement yet either. All is well.

Contractions:Still having crazy Braxton Hicks contractions all the time. They're tight and take my breath away and come whenever there's an ounce of liquid in my bladder. So that's that. But yesterday the doctor told me that those may actually be softening my cervix, so that's a good thing!

Baby gear purchased:I had another beautiful shower last week! My sister and sister in law threw it for me, and it was a roomful of family and friends and candy and pumpkins and love. One of these days I'll put up some pictures and prove all these wonderful things have happened =) We still have some things on our registries, so we'll be shopping for them soon.

The bumper:Here is picture proof of the gigantic bump =)

The doctor estimated baby weighs 6.5lbs. Looking at that bump, I believe it.

  4. So cute, you will do great and be sure to post pictures.
    I loved being pregnant and anticipating a new 'little one to love' even after 56 years I still remember the feeling of being round with child and the miraculous movements from within. (especially the baby hiccups)
